Immo
Born in Guyana, Immo Mohamed and his family moved to Canada when he was in the 4th grade. Ice Hockey was not a practiced sport in Guyana but Immo quickly recognized the importance of the sport to his new community and country. Although he quickly fell in love with hockey, he never actually stepped on the ice himself. As Immo became older he immersed himself into the hockey community and became one of its most knowledgeable fans and supporters. Immo loved our sport, his sport. Immo put his son Marcus on ice as soon as he could and he could not get enough of the early morning practices, late night games, extensive travel, tryout pressures and everything else that came along with being a part of the hockey community. Immo was a fixture and authoritative figure at the rink and he loved it.
We lost Immo on March 17, 2018, exactly one year to the day before we launched PVCK.
Immo was our best friend, we loved him dearly, and he will be missed forever. His love for our game, his game, will live on forever and we will dedicate one cap in every season to this great man, and friend. Proceeds from the sale of the “IMMO” will be donated to an organization assisting young people to discover our great game.
Thank you for your support.
